Meet Simon

Sea swimmer. Former superyacht captain. Meditation teacher. Still learning.

I'm Not Here to Fix You

You're not broken. Most of us aren't. We're on repeat: running old patterns so familiar we can't see them anymore. You can't out-hustle a pattern you can't see. But once you notice it, a reflex becomes a choice.
That's the whole of my work, really. Helping you notice.

This exploration led me away from conventional paths and into the rich worlds of psychology, nutrition, and ancient wisdom. I realized that true health isn't just the absence of illness, but a vibrant state of balance across mind, body, and spirit.

I was on the water before I could read: rowing and sailing from the age of three. At 22 I left England and spent eleven years as professional crew, and then captain, on superyachts.
Then I came ashore. For the next 24 years I trained captains and crews in leadership and crew resource management, and recruited the people who'd go to sea together. Time and again I watched two capable people look at the same situation and see it 180 degrees apart. Neither was wrong. Each was looking through their own beliefs.
Systems thinking gave me the language for it. Step outside the box before you start asking questions, because how you frame a problem changes everything about the answer you'll find.
The sea had been teaching me the same lesson all along. Tides, weather and navigation taught me some hard lessons, and one of the biggest was that even a professional weatherman can get it wrong. A forecast is only someone's best view. Truth, I've come to think, is what we accept until something better comes along. Looking back, my lifelong habit of questioning has been the most valuable thing I've carried.
Because this is what I believe most: your beliefs drive everything in your life. What you notice, how you react, what you think is possible. Yet most of us never question them. That's like never checking the oil in an engine you run every day. Sooner or later, something seizes.
So that's where we begin. Not by fixing you, but by lifting the bonnet and taking a look.
Life brought its own storms too. They taught me the thing I now teach most: progress, not perfection.
My search for meaning started in the late 1990s and took me through psychology, nutrition, systems thinking and Tibetan Buddhism, studying under Lama Norlha Rinpoche, as well as shamanic traditions. Different paths up the same mountain. Today I live in Cornwall, swim year-round, and teach what I've found works.

My spiritual journey has been both deep and wide. I had the profound honor of studying under Lama Norlha Rinpoche, immersing myself in the compassionate wisdom of Tibetan Buddhism.

Seeking to understand the universal language of spirit, I also explored shamanic traditions and gained exposure to the rich, rhythmic world of Santería. These multicultural experiences have taught me that while the paths may differ, the destination—inner peace and connection—is universal.

Teaching & Community Service

I believe that wellness should be accessible to all. This belief drove me to offer free meditation sessions at the INSIGHT Shop, creating a sanctuary for community members to find quiet amidst the chaos.

As an educator at GWS Falmouth, I've had the privilege of mentoring the next generation, sharing tools for emotional resilience and self-awareness. My commitment is simple: to serve my community by sharing the practices that have transformed my own life.

"True transformation isn't about fixing what's broken—it's about uncovering what's already whole within you. My role is simply to hold space, offer guidance, and help you reconnect with your innate wisdom and strength."

In our work together, you can expect compassionate listening, evidence-based practices, and a partnership dedicated to your lasting growth. Whether you are seeking clarity in your career, peace in your mind, or vitality in your body, I am here to walk that path with you.
